Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tree Down Media (“Tree Down Media,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Tree Down Media Marketing Machine (the “Service”), a platform we use to plan, create, schedule, and publish social media content on behalf of the brands and clients we manage.
Who this applies to
The Service is used by Tree Down Media staff (“Account Managers”) and by our clients (“Brand Contacts”) who authorize us to manage their social media presence. We access connected social accounts only to provide the Service to the account owner.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, and the password you set to sign in.
- Connected social accounts — when you connect a Facebook Page or Instagram professional account, we (through our publishing provider) receive access tokens and basic account details (account name, ID, profile picture) needed to publish and retrieve performance information.
- Content — the posts, captions, media, blueprints, and scheduling details you or your Account Manager create in the Service.
- Performance data — engagement metrics (such as reach, likes, and comments counts) retrieved from connected accounts to report on content performance.
- Usage data — basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
How we use information
- To create, schedule, and publish content to the social accounts you connect and authorize.
- To generate draft content, captions, and recommendations using AI.
- To report performance and suggest which content to promote.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service.
We do notsell your personal information or your connected accounts’ data, and we do not use it for advertising unrelated to your own content.
Meta Platform data
The Service integrates with Facebook and Instagram through the Meta Platform. When you connect an account, we access it solely to publish content you approve and to retrieve basic insights for reporting. Our use and transfer of information received from Meta APIs adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies, including applicable limited-use requirements. We store access tokens only for as long as the account remains connected, and you can revoke access at any time.
Service providers
We share information with a small set of providers strictly to run the Service: our publishing provider (self-hosted Postiz) to connect accounts and publish content; Anthropic to generate AI content from the prompts we send; Resend to deliver email notifications; and our cloud hosting provider. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When an account or connection is removed, the associated data and access tokens are deleted. See our Data Deletion page to request removal.
Security
We protect the Service with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls that limit each user to only the brands they are authorized to manage, and a firewalled server with regular backups.
Children
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children.
Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
